Zusammenfassung – das Jahr 2018, 2. Hälfte in den Reben
Die Junganlage ist trotz des trockenen Sommers sehr gut angewachsen. Keine Bewässerung oder Verwöhnprogramme waren notwendig, um die Kleinen zum Wachsen zu bewegen.
In der Tat war jedoch auffällig, dass sich die beiden neu angepflanzten Sorten Souvignier gris und Johanniter unterschiedlich gut machten.
Während der Johanniter im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes über sich selbst und über den letzten Draht in knapp 2 Meter Höhe hinauswuchs, blieb der Souvignier gris eher moderat unter dem ersten Draht in ca. 1 Meter Höhe. Vielleicht einzelne Pflänzchen meinten, die Nase höher hinausstrecken zu müssen, werden ab im Frühjahr wieder alle auf die gleiche Anzahl Augen zurück gestutzt.
Manch einer gibt einem dann den Rat, man könne ja nächstes Jahr bereits die Rute 10 cm unter dem ersten Draht stehen lassen, somit würde man bestimmt schon mal die ersten 40 kg aufs Ar einfahren, erfahrungsgemäß sollte man darauf aber im zweiten Standjahr verzichten, wenn die Ruten nicht etwa eine gute Daumenbreite aufweisen.
