The Kaiserstuhl is a renowned winegrowing region in Germany, located in the southwest of the country, near Freiburg im Breisgau. The Lasenberg is a specific site within the Kaiserstuhl and is considered one of the highest quality vineyard sites in the region.
The Kaiserstuhl is characterized by its original volcanic landscape, which is shaped by the foothills of the Black Forest. This soil type is ideal for viticulture as it has excellent drainage properties and allows the vines to penetrate deep into the soil to absorb nutrients and minerals.
