After the still wonderful 35-year-old Pinot Blanc and Pinot Noir had been cleared, we had brought the vines out of the vineyard in an adventurous way, the spading machine could start and start spading. 

Yes, I could never really imagine anything under the machine until you see it. Actually, you could think you are on a hectare-sized field, as the machine is supposed to be around 3 meters wide.

When the machine drives over the plot, it leaves nothing behind but fine, crumbly soil that just begs for replanting. And all of this down to a depth of 60 cm.

Earth that – when you take it in your hand – trickles finely through your fingers and gives you the feeling of absolute satisfaction at having done what the soil had been asking for for so long.

And – and here a hint is necessary – the soil thanks you. If he is now looking forward to about 6 – 7 weeks of pure relaxation, the pores can breathe and are well aerated, let’s call it THE WELLNESS TREATMENT for the floor, which he has honestly earned after such a long time.
